An extra-inning classic ended in the bottom of the eighth and the tying run on third. I have never been part of a game that was more suspenseful or fun to be a part of. A great effort by both teams.

Elmhurst Green 10, Dragons 7
We were in the drivers seat until we gave up nine runs in the top of the sixth. I am not much for excuses but we looked like a team that had played 14 innings in 90 degree heat.

Season Summary
Fall ball is not about win-loss records. We had a lot of fun and I was very proud of the kids as they improved each week. I am already looking forward to what next season will offer and I am confident that we will be a fun and competitive team.

Thanks to everyone for their help especially the best coaches I have ever had the privilege of working with: Kelly, Mike, Rich, Carl. And thanks to Bob for keeping score. But most of all, thanks to the players. You guys make baseball the best part of my week and it is a joy to be around you and share this fantastic part of your lives with you.
