Dragons Split Sunday Doubleheader

Dragons 14, DTA Yankees 5
Our pitchers provided 5 innings of no-hit shut-out pitching and our bats provided more than enough run support in this game. Most impressively, every player scored at least one run in this game.

DTA Travel 11, Dragons 10
A well played game that slipped away from us in the last inning, giving up seven runs in the top of the sixth.

Season Summary
Our record is 4-4 for the fall and we finished in fourth place for the four week regular season. Next Sunday has playoff matchups against the undefeated 6-2 Roselle Rumble and the 5-3 Elmhurst Green.

Dragons Play Hard, Lose Twice

DH Cubs 12, Dragons 8
Our bats kept us in this game as we fought back from an 8-3 deficit but a big fifth inning from the Cubs was enough to give us a loss.

Roselle Rumble 10, Dragons 3
After the Rumble scored seven runs in the first two innings, our pitchers helped us battle back by holding the Rumble to only four hits over the remaining four innings. We could not come up with the big hit with runners in scoring potion though and came away with the loss.

Season Summary
The losses drop us to 3-3. Next weeks games against the two DTA squads will be suspenseful as our play will determine whether we make the championship playoffs or not.

Dragons Split Sunday Doubleheader

Elmhurst Green 10, Dragons 9
We fought from a six run deficit in this game but fell a run short. The score does not do our effort justice as we out hit the Green 19 to 5. But we probably need to cut back on the 19 walks we gave up.

Dragons 21, Blue Devils 5
21 Runs on 13 hits. Wow. And our pitchers gave up a combined four hits in five innings and only five walks.

Season Summary
Our record is 3-1 for the fall and we are tied for second place with Elmhurst Green. Next Sunday has match ups against the undefeated 4-0 Roselle Rumble and the 2-2 Cubs.

Dragons Take Both Games of a Doubleheader

Dragons 12, DuPage Training Academy 6
We started off the fall ball season well with 12 runs on 14 hits. Our pitchers held DTA to 6 runs on 6 hits over seven innings with an impressive 9 strikeouts.

Dragons 13, Roselle Rangers 10
Game two brought 13 runs on 14 hits. We continued our aggressive approach at the plate while only having three team strikeouts in 35 plate appearances.

Season Summary
Our record is 2-0 for the fall and we are tied with two other unbeaten teams. Next Sunday has matchups against the undefeated 2-0 Blue Devils and the 1-1 Elmhurst Green.

About the Dragons

We were formed in 2007 to keep a group of great nine year olds together so they could continue to have fun and learn the game of baseball. Some of the kids have been playing together since the age of six. We believe in developing a good team dynamic and surrounding our players with the most positive coaches and positive families. Players will only begin to feel successful after they feel comfortable and the have to be having fun.
